about

In the Windows 95 pinball game Loony Labyrinth - in which you travel back to ancient Greece to rescue something or other from a minotaur chamber while the moon phases are right (maybe? I never beat it) - when you lose a ball, a digitized voice says, "There's much left to explore." And I've come back to music full-bore because that's what motivates me to create anything - knowing how many awesome things are out there, waiting to be discovered and explored.

So through these tracks, I'm exploring all kinds of things:

- Genres crashing into each other (like krautrock into dubstep, or nortec into jungle)
- Making spinning circles out of production tricks
- Telling three-act stories via a main character made of drums

And all sorts of chord and time signature oddities.

When I say in the album art that this is piquant, I'm not just using a cool word; I'm describing how this album tastes in relation to, say, bubblegum. This is all tang, and I guarantee it's a tang you haven't tasted before, because I wouldn't have made it if you had.

about

Restless Mosaic Seattle, Washington

Mosaics are intricate and beautiful and expressive, but they're stuck to where they are. If you were a sentient mosaic and everybody walked on you, wouldn't you be restless? And wouldn't you take in as much as you could when you broke free?

You get it. Welcome. There's much left to explore.
